At the barber's, you build community as much as you celebrate and remake the world! At the barber's, you build community as much as you celebrate and remake the world! On this Champions League final day, television screens blare their excitement in cities all over the world. Barber Shop Chronicles takes place over one day in several barber shops, from Brussels to Dakar. Africans and people of African descent speak loudly and clearly about daily life, raising children, exile, masculinity, racism, and football, of course. Michael De Cock and Junior Mthombeni masterfully orchestrate these mixed-culture bar-side chats, rich in food for thought and with a contagious vitality.
