and its delegated producer ERDA,, Insula orchestra Baroque without borders Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique, acclaimed at the Paris Opera in major baroque roles - from Alcina to Susanna -, ventures into a program as audacious as it is unprecedented: making the great opera arias of Haendel and Rameau dialogue with traditional music of the Caribbean, wedding songs, dance airs and percussion of the islands.
A back-and-forth between two shores of the Atlantic, between Baroque Europe and the 18th-century Caribbean, which reveals unsuspected circulations between these two worlds.
At her side, Apollo's Fire - one of the most reputed American Baroque ensembles, founded by harpsichordist Jeannette Sorrell - makes its debut at La Seine Musicale.
Awarded by the international press (BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone), the ensemble is famous for its programs designed as true musical narratives, alive and theatrical. A rare evening, at the crossroads of cultures and continents.
