Overview
Vienna is the birthplace of major artistic revolutions. Beethoven, at the dawn of Romanticism, and Webern, in the early hours of dodecaphonism, left their mark on the musical landscape a century apart. Written in 1806, the Violin Concerto performed by Alena Baeva is an ethereal work, full of plenitude and joy, as is the Eighth Symphony written a few years later.
