An essential figure of French jazz, Magic Malik has established himself as one of the most creative and singular musicians of his generation.
Virtuoso flutist, audacious composer and unparalleled improviser, Malik Mezzadri has collaborated with major artists such as St Germain and Steve Coleman, developing over the years a unique musical language at the crossroads of jazz, world music, urban rhythms and contemporary creation.
For this evening, he surrounds himself with three choice companions: Romain Clerc-Renaud on keyboards, a figure of the Parisian jazz and improvised scene; Jean-Luc Lehr on bass, a faithful traveling companion and passionate about rhythms from elsewhere; and Maxime Zampieri on drums, trained in Brussels and honed on stages in Tokyo, New York and Montreux.
A cult group, musicians at their peak, and the promise that virtuosity will never be at the expense of surprise.
