Dante at 360° – 10 Years of the Auditorium On 21 April 2017, Laurence Equilbey conducted the inaugural concert of La Seine Musicale with Insula orchestra.

Ten years later, the orchestra celebrates this anniversary with a creation specially designed for the Patrick-Devedjian Auditorium: a new circular structure, custom-made, which places the orchestra in the center of the hall and suspends a screen above it.

From every seat, the spectator is plunged into the heart of the show. On the program, Liszt's Dante-Symphony – inspired by the Divine Comedy and carried by the dream of a total art that the composer wished to extend with spectacular images, impossible to achieve in his time.

This desire finds its accomplishment today in Mat Collishaw's immersive creation: a video projected on the circular screen that transposes Dante's Hell into our contemporary crises.

Present throughout the program, the voice of Magdalena Kožená – one of the most admired mezzo-sopranos of her generation – accompanies this traversal of the Underworld. A foundational evening, at the crossroads of music, image and sonic architecture.
