J'étais Parti.e Pardon (dans un autre un autre univers)

[YOUNG AUDIENCES] Is it possible to travel to parallel worlds? In this off-the-wall comedy, where poetry flirts with science fiction, children and adults are drawn into an investigation full of twists.

While taking part in the creation of a play, a CM2 class literally vanished into thin air. What happened? And what if this strange disappearance were linked to the show's theme: journeys to other realities?

In this creation, nourished by a long-term project with two primary and secondary school classes in Seine-Saint-Denis, Collectif Mind The Gap and Théophile Dubus play with the boundaries between performer and character, fiction and reality.

They develop an aesthetic of making, in partnership with the audience, diverting the elements of the stage to tell their story in full view. Will they answer the questions of Gaby, who at the age of nine feels she is not living in the right universe?

In a simple, ingenious set, cunningly manipulating objects highlighted by light, the three storytellers take us to real or fantastical places, with a breathtaking sense of rhythm.

They bring to life a gallery of characters who step through a door again and again, which is both the entrance to a classroom and an opening onto imaginary whirlwinds. Which path should we take?

J’étais parti·e, pardon (dans un autre univers) is an ode to the theatre as a place where imagination, discovery and surprise can flourish.
