Orchestre National d’Île-de-France

The Orchestre National d'Île-de-France presents a symphonic concert at the Théâtre Romain Rolland in Villejuif.

Formed in 1974, the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France is a French symphony orchestra recognised for its commitment to spreading the classical and contemporary repertoire across the region. The orchestra notably released its first recording, featuring works by major composers, in 1989. Its artistic approach is built on a constant desire to make symphonic music accessible to the widest possible audience by exploring a diverse range of scores.

On stage, this ensemble brings together numerous musicians under the baton of guest conductors, delivering the rich, full-bodied sound characteristic of major orchestral groups. The set highlights the precision of the sections and the wealth of timbres, whether interpreting masterpieces from the traditional repertoire or more recent creations. Each concert provides an opportunity to hear demanding arrangements performed by professional instrumentalists.

This evening is aimed at classical music lovers as well as anyone curious to experience the power of a symphony orchestra live. Théâtre Romain Rolland hosts this ensemble for a performance that allows audiences to appreciate the cohesion and dynamics of this historic musical collective from the Paris region.
