Overview
JULIEN CORIATT piano/compos/lead AMINA MEZAACHE flutes DAMIAN NUEVA double bass SONNY TROUPÉ ka drum STEFANO LUCCHINI drums The Brand New Quintet makes its big comeback with a programme that is resolutely brand new?!
At the crossroads of jazz and Creole music, the group offers an evening in the colours of the Caribbean, alive with rhythms, traditions and living heritage.
Five exceptional musicians, with rich and singular careers, whose companionship and artistic rigour give the project all its strength and singularity. With the Julien Coriatt Brand New Quintet, music becomes celebration.
Between jazz and Caribbean sounds, it explores roots and summons memory. This new repertoire pays tribute to the past, is firmly rooted in the present and sketches a luminous future, open and inspiring.
