« From 1968 to 1975, the period after Bitches Brew. This era is marked by aesthetic questions in Miles Davis's creative process: the musicians become mirrors of collective consciousness, and ideas of freedom and rights are in ferment. Miles Davis's sound fuses jazz and rock, contemporary music and world music. Miles electrifies his trumpet with effects, the rhythms become funkier, and the theme is little more than a silk sheet over a groove of sometimes animal savagery.
