Overview
L'Orfeo Claudio Monteverdi La favola in musica de L'Orfeo is considered the first masterpiece in the history of opera.

In a Florence still steeped in the Renaissance, Monteverdi invents a new form with the full range of musical resources at his disposal.
The synthesis is dazzling, with arias by turns sung or declaimed, pastoral ensembles, moving choral soarings, and not forgetting an entire orchestra in the service of the drama. Production Jeanine Roze Production
