SEATED CONCERT - Open seating. Ladaniva, the group fronted by the voice of talented Jaklin Baghdasaryan and multi-instrumentalist Frenchman Louis Thomas, defends world music of rare richness that brings together sonic memories from all their travels.
Blending Armenian traditional music with that of the Balkans, maloya to reggae, their music transcends folklore to create a singular and explosive identity, that of Ladaniva.
This was followed by worldwide successes like Kef Chilini, which became an anthem sung at every party in the Armenian diaspora and has accumulated over 26 million views on Youtube, Shakar their sweet pop hit, and Jako, which would be launched in front of tens of millions of viewers during Eurovision 2024 where Ladaniva represented Armenia.
Ladaniva returns in 2026 with a second vibrant and demanding album, between revisited tradition and contemporary sounds, and will bring its irresistible energy to La Cigale on December 15th. Opening act: Olkan & La Vipère Rouge
