In a faraway kingdom, night reigns, because the day has vanished without anyone being able to explain it. Ever since he was very small, Sacha has had only one dream: to find the sun again. Armed with nothing but the violin entrusted to him by his grandfather, the young boy finally sets out. Will he be able to bring back the light on his quest?
The Magic Violin is a musical tale about the power of dreams and of music, written and narrated by Élodie Fondacci, an emblematic storyteller of Radio Classique.
The Sirba Octet and Élodie Fondacci had already shared the stage for performances of The Carnival of the Animals and had vowed to work together again. The time for a reunion between Élodie Fondacci's dreamlike universe and the singularity of the Sirba Octet has come with the bespoke creation of The Magic Violin for a family audience.
