Lettres non-écrites

In each of his creations, David Geselson enjoys exploring intimate stories. With Lettres non-écrites, he reinvents the art of the public letter-writer and invites each person to entrust him with the words they never said. He has shared this writing protocol with other guest authors, thus transforming the confidences gathered into texts brought to the stage. Words of love or friendship, secrets, regrets or things left unsaid: the stories intersect on stage in a deeply moving performance.

On a stripped-back stage, the letters emerge from a printer to be read by the actors. Tragedies and the small things of everyday life are addressed with the same delicacy. Gradually, from one story to the next, a bond is woven between the artists and the audience, turning the performance into a shared experience full of humanity.
