George sans S

George Sand, a free-spirited woman and bold writer, takes refuge at Nohant to write. On this peaceful estate, she has a marvellous puppet theatre built. What an idyllic and ideal setting for marionettes. Here they come to life, bringing to the stage the characters of the novels of the lady of the manor, who follow her on her walks, from the house to the edge of the pond where desires and demons stir.

Within a fairy-tale setting, like a forest set up in the heart of the auditorium, four women artists bring to life the vibrant energy and struggles of George Sand. Music, dance and chansigne engage in dialogue with a crowd of puppets gathered around a writing table, from which summer grasses and frozen trees spring forth. The ghosts appear, transform and compose, with the company Les Anges au plafond, a waking dream in which objects come alive within a visual universe that is singular and offbeat.

With Camille Trouvé, Ángela Ibáñez Castaño, Christelle Ferreira alternating with Hawa Diakité, Gaëlle Grassin alternating with Marie Jolet.
