Swing jazz (Christmas songs)
38Riv invites you to swing under the mistletoe with a trio that showcases Ella Fitzgerald's legendary album Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas. The magic of this record, recorded in 1960, lies in the way it turns seasonal songs into a real playground for jazz musicians. On the mic, Australian singer Mélissa Lesnie lends a velvet sheen to Christmas standards such as Sleigh Ride, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and the evergreen Christmas Song by Mel Tormé. A playful evening, with a touch of glamour, to get into the festive spirit in style.
Line-up: Melissa Lesnie: vocals; Zoé Sédano: piano; Moira Montier-Dauriac: double bass
