Overview
Great Works Distribution: Paris Chamber Orchestra Tabita Berglund, conducting Program: Mozart, Symphony No. 39 Mozart, Symphony No. 40 Mozart, Symphony No.
41 The Auditorium, an emblematic hall of La Seine Musicale, seduces with its immersive 360-degree architecture, inspired by the vineyard model, offering unique proximity between artists and audience.
A true acoustic jewel, it hosts ambitious programming dedicated to great works of the repertoire, recitals and exceptional musical projects. Over the seasons, the resident orchestra at La Seine Musicale, Insula orchestra and its season guests, develop a strong artistic identity.
These exceptional ensembles share the stage with internationally renowned soloists and emerging young talents, making each concert a singular moment.
At the crossroads of tradition and creation, the Auditorium's programming fully reflects the dynamism and openness of the current classical scene. Mozart's last three symphonies – Nos.
39, 40 and 41 – were composed during the summer of 1788, in a very short time thus, and display an incredible dramatic intensity and sonic richness that recall the operas Figaro and Don Giovanni.
The 39th opens with solemnity then unfolds a twilight light thanks notably to magnificent flute and clarinet solos. The troubling fever of the 40th is haunted by lyrical inspiration that borders on the tragic.
Finally, the 41st, nicknamed "Jupiter", proud and majestic, concentrates all the science of the orchestra and the melodic genius of the composer who brought the genre to heights of expressivity!
A jubilant program with Tabita Berglund leading the Paris Chamber Orchestra, who perform for the first time on the stages of La Seine Musicale. The young and talented Norwegian conductor strives to build with the musicians a true carnal connection, so Mozartian!
