Prokofiev's Peter the Wolf was composed as a poetic and educational tale that introduces children to the instruments of the orchestra… without forgetting to please the adults who accompany them.

Despite his grandfather's warning, Peter opens the garden gate and goes into the forest. He meets a duck, a bird, a cat and a wolf! Each character is given a timbre (bassoon, violin, oboe, flute, clarinet, horn…) and a characteristic melody.

Alex Vizorek, well known to radio listeners, will recount with mischief the adventures of Peter and the Wolf illustrated live by Karo Pauwels, while the Ensemble Est-Ouest will perform the musical interludes, by turns joyful and dancing, playful and agile or threatening and dramatic!
