Overview
Anouar Brahem, oud; Anja Lechner, cello; Django Bates, piano; Mats Eilertsen, double bass. La Seine Musicale continues its exploration, bringing out the affinities between jazz and world music, driven by a taste for diversity and discovery.
Beyond styles, crossing generational boundaries, its programme features major international figures, reveals emerging talent and offers unexpected encounters. So many invitations to get swept up in swing's driving rhythms and groove, and to share in the euphoria of improvisation!
The Tunisian oud player has always worked variations on his favourite theme: an Orient of scents and mysteries. Anouar Brahem knows that the strength of his instrument lies in its clear gentleness, breathing out its tone while commanding silence.
