Overview
Nemanja Radulović violin Kammerorchester Basel Krzysztof Urbański conductor Nemanja Radulović for the 'concerto of concertos', Beethoven's violin concerto. Programme Beethoven Violin Concerto op. 61 Dvořák Symphony No. 7 in D minor op.
70 In a few words "For years, Beethoven's Concerto has been the one I most like to play and listen to; it is a piece that has matured me over time. After my arrival in France, at the age of fourteen, I began to play it.
" Many regard it as "The concerto of concertos", and indeed with this opus 61, Beethoven turns a page in the history of the genre.
Leaving behind the showy virtuosity of some of his predecessors, he introduces a purely musical writing in which he gives unprecedented importance to the orchestra; the tutti that precedes the soloist's entry is probably the longest in the repertoire.
And what can one say of the five opening timpani strokes, as strange as they are brilliant! Production Céleste Productions
