Ombre

Plume dreams of taking flight and touching the sky. No matter how hard she tries, she cannot manage it, and at school everyone laughs at her. She begins to doubt herself; her body grows heavy and wavers under the weight of uncertainty and mockery. There she lies on the ground, as if flattened, her longing biting the dust. Yet a few words of encouragement whispered in her ear by friendly voices are enough to revive the momentum and, with it, the desire to get back on her feet. Gently manipulated by three puppeteers, Plume comes to life before our eyes and launches herself, a nimble aerial acrobat on her flying rope, from shadow towards light.
