In a few words

The young Franco-American Paul Ji trained for ten years with Qin Yingming (Long Thibaud 1981 prizewinner) and studied at the École Normale de Paris with Jean-Bernard Pommier. Winner of the "American protégé" competition at Carnegie Hall in 2012, he won the Concours International Steinway seven times between 2010 and 2018, and was chosen to perform as France's representative at the Steinway Music Festival at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg. The same year, he played at the Berlin Philharmonie after winning the Grand Prix Berlin Rising Stars, and at the Annecy Music Festival. Noticed as a laureate of the television programme "Prodiges" in 2019 (he was then just 15), he released his first album on Warner. Honoured at several international competitions in the United States and Europe, he has embarked on a professional career as a recitalist on several major prestigious stages.

For his second engagement at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, he naturally chose an all-Chopin programme, a composer he serves with elegance and nobility.
