Overview
Presented by Vedettes. A founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was recently inducted into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class, following a vote in which fans of both bands took part.
PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT announce a French tour for spring 2027, during which the group will perform both Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer, in their entirety.
Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording was completed shortly before the death of Ian Curtis, and which was released posthumously in 1980.
Since then, these two legendary albums have regularly ranked near the top of lists of the greatest albums of all time, compiled by critics and public alike.
They laid the foundations of a legacy that continues to endure: a visual identity that has become iconic, with sleeves that have inspired millions of T-shirts; a production by Martin Hannett, as precise and visionary today as it was at the time; and two albums that remain a major influence on almost every one of the most important bands of the past four decades.
