Overview
Presented by Vedettes. Founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was recently inducted into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the 2026 class, following a vote in which fans of both bands took part, among others.
PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT announce a French tour in spring 2027, during which the group will perform in their entirety the two studio albums by Joy Division, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording was completed shortly before the death of Ian Curtis, ahead of a posthumous release in 1980.
Since then, these two legendary albums have regularly ranked near the top of lists of the greatest albums of all time, compiled by critics and public alike. They laid the foundations for a legacy that continues to endure: a visual identity that became iconic, with their sleeves inspiring millions of T-shirts; a production by Martin Hannett, as precise and visionary today as it was at the time; and two albums that remain a major influence on almost every one of the most significant bands of the past four decades. © Vedettes
