Peter Hook & The Light

Presented by Vedettes.

A founding member of Joy Division and New Order, Peter Hook was recently inducted into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the 2026 class, following a vote in which fans of both bands took part. PETER HOOK & THE LIGHT announce a French tour for spring 2027, during which the group will perform in full the two Joy Division studio albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer. Released in 1979, Unknown Pleasures was followed a year later by Closer, whose recording was completed shortly before the death of Ian Curtis, with a posthumous release in 1980. Since then, these two legendary albums have regularly ranked among the top places in lists of the greatest albums of all time, compiled by critics and public alike. They laid the foundations for a legacy that continues to endure: an iconic visual identity, whose sleeves have inspired millions of T-shirts, a production by Martin Hannett that remains as precise and visionary today as it was at the time, and two albums that remain a major influence on almost every one of the most influential bands of the last four decades. © Vedettes
