In this recital, the Polish pianist juxtaposes two summits of the piano repertoire. Franz Schubert's Sonata in C minor D 958, written in 1828, opens the evening: music filled with restrained tension and interiority.
In turn, Anderszewski proposes a selection of piano pieces by Brahms. Compact pages, almost whispered, written at the end of the composer's life, they explore another form of interiority, privileging discourse concentration, restraint and nuance. 119 (excerpts)
