Overview
To mark its 30 years of musical passion and its 10th year at La Seine Musicale, the Chœur Philharmonique International, UNESCO Artist for Peace, presents an exceptional programme: the sublime Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin. A hoodlum, a beggar, a young woman. Afro-Americans in the 1930s.
They survive in the underworld of Charleston, South Carolina, where love sits alongside crime and everyday misery. At the confluence of opera, blues, negro spiritual and jazz, Gershwin infuses his characters with a flame that lets them dance, sing and vibrate despite adversity!
The most famous jazzy lyric opera in the world.
La Seine Musicale does not admit children under the age of 3 into the auditorium.
