7 The Auditorium, the emblematic hall of La Seine Musicale, is admired for its immersive 360-degree architecture, inspired by the vineyard model, which offers a unique closeness between the performers and the audience.

A true acoustic jewel, it hosts an ambitious programme devoted to the great works of the repertoire, recitals and exceptional musical projects.

Over the seasons, the resident orchestra at La Seine Musicale, Insula orchestra, and its guest season develop a strong artistic identity there.

These outstanding ensembles share the stage with soloists of international renown and emerging young talents, making each concert a singular moment.

At the crossroads of tradition and creation, the Auditorium's programming fully reflects the dynamism and openness of today's classical scene.

Two visions of the emerging Romantic era: one introspective and poignant, the other more ardent and triumphant, to be experienced as close as possible to the time of their composition, in the historically informed interpretation of the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées and its founding conductor Philippe Herreweghe, returning to La Seine Musicale to illuminate the authenticity and modernity of two major works.

Known and celebrated for early music, Herreweghe in fact has long worked with nineteenth-century scores. He has, moreover, recorded a magnificent complete cycle of Beethoven's symphonies. But first, the evening will open with Schubert's Symphony No. 8, fascinating in its mystery.

Unfinished, it unfolds over two movements with a shatteringly intense lyricism, in a perpetual interplay of shadow and light characteristic of the composer.
