Smile! or the joy of making music and theatre together, at last. Let's smile together! From Cora Vaucaire to Stephen Sondheim, from Annie Cordy to Édith Piaf or Joséphine Baker, Smile! is a cabaret where boundaries between repertoires are abolished with jubilant freedom.
Sabine Devieilhe leaves the great lyric stages for a moment to rejoin Pauline Buet on cello and David Violi on piano, who founded the collective i Giardini.
Together, in original arrangements by Emmanuel Touchard, the trio cultivates a rare complicity, that of three musicians who love theatre just as much as music.
Laurent Pelly, well known on major French and international stages, creates a staging that magnifies this song recital into true musical theatre. Co-production i Giardini, Les Grandes Voix and Cité Bleue Genève Wheelchair accessible bookings by telephone on 01 53 05 19 19.
