That's twisted by Baptiste Cazaux
A dancer and choreographer particularly active on stages in Belgium, France, and Switzerland, Baptiste Cazaux is also a DJ, and his approach to choreography reflects this. That's twisted, “a psychedelic strategy to transcend nostalgia”. Inviting spectators as close as possible to his performance, Baptiste Cazaux composes this solo as a journey through rhythms, bodily states, and multiple musical registers in a constant flow. Playing with references to the past, while practicing a state of live presence, That's twisted blurs temporal markers and perceptual habits in an incongruous assembly of samples. Drawing inspiration from late 2000s pop hits, tinged with a joyful fatalism in the face of an uncertain future, his solo establishes a murky landscape, woven with echoes and mutating presences: a form of contemporary melancholy, paradoxical and exhilarating.
