LINE UP: ANDY NARELL steel pans JANY MCPHERSON piano/voice ADRIANO TENORIO percussion. There is a story behind Andy Narell's choice of instrument... His father brought the steel pan to New York with the aim of encouraging street children to join steel bands.

Now an ambassador for this uncommon instrument, he is one of the first to integrate it into jazz, giving him a unique place in the fusion spectrum.

This trio was not born by chance: endowed with a poignant voice with smooth lows and impeccable phrasing, spotted by Nina Simone's producer, Henri Salvador and Richard Galliano, Jany McPherson shares with Andy Narell a long musical complicity, notably through the recording of a duo album.

On stage, the dialogue between Narell's steel pans, McPherson's piano and voice carried by Tenorio's fiery percussion promises a journey from the Caribbean to jazz to Cuba; a meeting of cultures and rare timbres, both intimate and explosive.
