Overview
Presented by DYAM & SET Born in 1975 in Beja, Portugal, António Zambujo is one of the great voices of contemporary Portuguese music.
Nurtured from childhood by Cante Alentejano, the traditional singing of his native region, he has developed a unique musical universe blending fado, Portuguese popular music and Brazilian influences.
Breaking through in 2002 with his debut album O Mesmo Fado, he gradually built an international career, stepping up concerts and collaborations with artists such as Chico Buarque, Caetano Veloso, Roberta Sá and Ana Moura.
His album Rua da Emenda (2014), followed by Até Pensei Que Fosse Minha (2016), a tribute to Chico Buarque, confirmed his success. The latter, certified platinum in Portugal, notably earned him a Latin Grammy Award nomination.
Winner of multiple awards, António Zambujo establishes himself as a major artist, recognized for his warm voice, his sensitivity and his ability to make musical traditions converse.
After Voz & Violão (2021) and Cidade (2023), he returns in 2026 with his eleventh studio album, Oração ao Tempo, which features a collaboration with Caetano Veloso.
A new chapter in a career spanning more than twenty years, driven by musical elegance and a constant openness to new influences.
