Synth post-punk dance / revolution
A quirky pop that shakes up preconceived ideas. Blending irreverence with a sharp eye, the Los Angeles group approached their third album with black humour and renewed momentum. Izzy Glaudini (synths, vocals) and Halle Saxon (bass, vocals) are convinced that messages of change land better with a backbeat and an impertinent groove – and on their new album "Is It Now?", they invite us to confront the oppressive structures of the world with renewed urgency. Uncompromising in its critique – of automated warfare ("mq9"), blind consumerism ("Is It Now?") and the political influence of oil ("The Prize") – "Is It Now?" wants to unite and make you want to: dance, resist, come together and fall in love! With "Is It Now?", that's already happening! https://automatic-band.bandcamp.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcXsQq1FjJY
