An offbeat pop that challenges preconceived notions. Combining irreverence with a sharp gaze, the Los Angeles band approached their third album with dark humour and renewed vigour. Izzy Glaudini (synths, vocals) and Halle Saxon (bass, vocals) are convinced that messages of change are best conveyed with a backbeat and an impertinent groove – and on their new album “Is It Now?”, they invite us to confront the world's oppressive structures with renewed urgency. Uncompromising in its criticism – of automated warfare (“mq9”), blind consumerism (“Is It Now?”) and the political influence of oil (“The Prize”) – “Is It Now?” aims to unite and inspire us to: dance, resist, gather, and fall in love! With “Is It Now?”, it’s already happening!
