Presented by Musique Sacrée Notre-Dame de ParisWinner of several major international improvisation competitions, Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard explores the boldest blends between organ and other forms of artistic expression: dance, graphic works, cinema, electronic music.

Conceived as a great sonic arch, his recital programme creates a dialogue between works of French, Germanic and Russian traditions with the art of improvisation.

An improvised French Suite will thus open the evening as an evocation of the great forms of French classical repertoire. The programme will continue with the monumental Final of Brahms' Symphony No.

Three improvised intermezzos will then punctuate the recital, as many breaths and bridges to the different schools of the works that surround them: Franck's Cantabile, an evocation of the birth of the grand French romantic organ with Cavaillé-Coll, Debussy's "La Cathédrale engloutie", inspired by the Breton legend of the city of Ys rising from the waves, then extracts from Stravinsky's "The Firebird", the dramatic pinnacle of the concert.
