Born Bad Records celebrates its 20th anniversary at Théâtre du Châtelet!

I love radicalism, complete people. Music professionals and virtuosos have always bored me. I prefer authentic and imperfect artists who will have flashes of brilliance that I will help reveal.

Jean-Baptiste Guillot spoke these words on the occasion of Born Bad Records' tenth anniversary. ).

The man who wore out his pants on the benches of the majors and founded his label twenty years ago, in the aftermath of a social plan that struck the record industry, is still standing! Having twenty years in rock'n'roll is going well beyond maturity: it's almost resistance!

It's cultivating a state of mind, marked by loyalty to values (independence everywhere, compromise nowhere), as much as to artists, mostly French. Why? To better support them over time, and make them shine, without artifice.

Today, Born Bad Records is much more than rock, indie, pop and underground. By the way, who still knows how to define what underground is? No matter, no label sticks to the vinyl signed by Born Bad Records.

This label is fundamentally alternative: from the discovery of the group Cheveu (blues), to Frustration, (post-punk) to Bryan's Magic Tears (shoegaze), La Femme (rock machine) and Arthur Satàn (garage-rock) and Zombie Zombie (krautrock), the list is long: over 200 albums!

And Born Bad Records recently revealed Star Feminine Band, an afropop group made up of seven women, born in Natitingou, Benin, around the same time as the label.

So – make no mistake – to blow out its twenty candles in the Grand Hall of Théâtre du Châtelet, Born Bad Records will set the stage on fire! With Frustration, Vox Low, Gwendoline, Bryan's Magic Tears, Zombie Zombie, Forever Pavot, Bracco, Arthur Satan
