Colin James

Canadian guitarist and songwriter Colin James takes to the Massy stage to present his blues and his folk influences.

Active since the mid-1980s, the Canadian artist released his self-titled debut album in 1988 and quickly made his mark on the international scene with a style rooted in blues, country and folk. A respected guitarist, the musician has built a discography punctuated by several albums acclaimed by critics and by notable collaborations, while cultivating a distinctive guitar sound inherited from the great names of the genre.

On stage, Colin James generally performs in a tight line-up built around his instruments, switching between acoustic and electric guitars depending on the songs. The set showcases a direct instrumental craft, without superfluous stage artifice, favouring exchange with the audience and mastery of musical dynamics.

This evening will appeal to fans of traditional blues and guitar music who want to discover a seasoned live performer. The Paul B. venue in Massy hosts this concert in a setting that lends itself to listening closely and to being near the musicians.
