Overview
Presented by the Mairie de Villenave d'Ornon PLATESV-D-2022-000741 A Not-So-Ordinary Ball. How do you find the right rhythm, in a duo, a quadrille, or a great circle?
Chloé Martin, accompanied by musicians, expresses here with humour and poetry the joy of traditional folk dances (bals trad). She celebrates the need to dance, the letting go, and the incredible sensation of being alive.
Step by step, the audience is swept into a convivial and deeply exhilarating story. After the show, a closing ball invites you to join the dance.
Concept, writing and performance: Chloé Martin / Diatonic accordion and performance: Killian Flatot / Violin and performance: Marion Landreau / Flute, percussion and performance: Paul Paitel / General stage management, sound and performance: Chloé Gambert / Artistic eye: Armelle Dousset / Lighting design: Guénaël Grignon / All audiences - From 10 years old / Duration: 1 h 20 BAL SOCAM And then we dance!
Pronounced [sukam] in Occitan, this trio with accents from the deep south-west takes you on a ball as rooted as it is intoxicating. A story of friendship, once again.
