Concerto Danzante

A meeting at the summit. With the CCN–Ballet de Lorraine, Les Arts Florissants shatter the boundaries between baroque and today. A double creation by Josépha Madoki and Maud Le Pladec, the choreographer of the Olympic ceremonies.

Concerto Danzante shatters the boundaries between baroque music and today's dance. From Vivaldi to Bach, the show offers a lively journey through the history of the concerto, enriched by an unexpected dialogue with contemporary dance.

On stage, two creations respond to each other, performed by the CCN–Ballet de Lorraine. Around Vivaldi, Josépha Madoki imagines a dialogue as bold as it is electrifying with waacking, an urban dance with a strong theatrical dimension.

Around Bach, Maud Le Pladec deploys a powerful choreographic writing, reaching towards the very essence of the concerto. -S. Bach, Vivaldi, Legrenzi, Uccellini, Lambranzi, von Westhoff… Duration: 1h45 with interval. Performed on period instruments; amplified.
