Overview
Autodidacte, Danyl began producing for himself and for others at a very early age. A songwriter, composer and beatmaker, he is among the first artists to create tracks live on the Twitch platform. Danyl is Franco-Algerian and draws on the sounds of raï to build his musical universe. Inspired by his dual culture and the modernity of his time, he releases sounds that he gathers under the name Khedma (meaning "work" in Arabic).
« En France j'suis qu'un arabe de plus et au bled j'suis un zmigri », Danyl marvels in the track Mazel. "Zmig" or "Zmigri", derived from the French word "émigré", is the pejorative term by which Algerians refer to French people of Maghrebi origin. By choosing to title his first album this way, the young Parisian decides to turn this stigma into a double richness.
First album ZMIG, released on 16 January 2026.
