Overview
Based in Marseille, his home port, this globe-trotter brings to life a blended music that mixes afrobeat, kompa and hip-hop, driven by a sunny, uniting energy.
Championed by media such as France Inter, FIP and Radio Nova, David Walters combines electronic beats, acoustic folk and Afro-Caribbean influences.
After several years devoted to television (Les Nouveaux Explorateurs on Canal+), he made a much-noticed return in 2020 with Soleil Kreyol.
His single Kité Koulé, taken from the album Ti Love – 2026, marks a collaboration with Keziah Jones and blends groove and spirituality by evoking Manman Dlo, a figure of the oceans and of memory, in an invitation to dance with the currents of life, between the intimate and the universal.
Line-up: David Walters: vocals, guitar and percussion; Andy Berald-Catelo: drums; Xavier Belin: keyboards; Adrien Dauvergne: sound.
