Overview

How is a musical work born? On the occasion of their Certificate of Musical Studies in Écriture showcase concert, the students present their compositions and reveal the many facets of the composer's craft, between mastery of musical languages, imagination and artistic research.

The Conservatoire is delighted to invite you to the showcase concert of students completing their Certificate of Musical Studies (CEM) in Écriture.

Throughout their studies, students in David Lampel's classes explore the different dimensions of musical writing: harmony, counterpoint, analysis, orchestration and composition. This work enables them to develop a close listening to works and gradually to assert their own musical language.

For this showcase, they will present their own creations, the fruit of in-depth work on composition, analysis and musical reinvention. Each piece reflects a distinctive journey, nourished by the study of repertoires and the search for a personal writing style.

Writing becomes here a space for experimentation: transforming a musical idea, playing with forms, timbres and sound materials, drawing inspiration from a model in order to better break free from it.

This musical occasion will thus highlight the diversity of artistic sensibilities and the creative commitment of the students, in a dialogue between heritage and creation, tradition and modernity.

Coordination: David Lampel
