Overview
First Aid Kit is the duo formed by sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, they have been making music together since their teenage years.
Twice nominated for the BRIT Awards, the Swedish artists have won over an international audience thanks to a refined blend of carefully crafted songwriting and ambitious melodies.
After The Big Black and The Blue (2010) and The Lion's Roar (2012), they achieved widespread success with Stay Gold in 2014. The single "My Silver Lining" has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and earned a gold certification in the United Kingdom.
In 2018, the album Ruins went gold in Sweden and received glowing reviews, including four stars out of five from The Guardian, Q and NME, while Pitchfork praised "a setting for their delicate harmonies, enriched by bold stylistic choices".
Shortly afterwards, the duo earned a second BRIT Awards nomination in the "International Group" category. nk, Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, George Ezra and Zara Larsson.
Their fifth album, Palomino (2022), met with both critical and commercial success and took them on the biggest tour of their career
