About — The artist
First Aid Kit is a Swedish folk band composed of sisters Johanna (vocals, keyboard, autoharp, bass) and Klara Söderberg (vocals, guitar). For their live performances, the duo is accompanied by a drummer and a pedal steel guitarist. In 2008, the band gained recognition through their YouTube video cover of Fleet Foxes' Tiger Mountain Peasant Song. This led to them signing with the Wichita Recordings label and recording their debut album, The Big Black and the Blue.
As of 2024, First Aid Kit's discography consists of five albums, three EPs, and around ten singles. In 2015, they were nominated for a Brit Award in the International Group of the Year 2015 category.
