François Dumont - Piano

Under the inspired fingers of François Dumont, Beethoven's piano finds its full scope and its surge of freedom. While the early sonatas of the Master of Bonn showcase dazzling virtuosity, Beethoven then turns to the facets of the human soul.

With its contrasts and passionate spirit, the Sonata “Pathétique” gives way to inner drama. Although he occasionally yields to the temptation of power, as in Sonata No.

11, the composer willingly immerses himself in introspection: the Sonata “Clair de Lune” casts a veil of mystery and melancholy over his work. Reconciling inner tension and exalted lyricism, François Dumont deploys an expressive palette worthy of the masterpieces he tackles.
