François Dumont, born on October 19, 1985, in Lyon, is a French pianist.
In 2007, he was a 'laureate' (unranked) at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. In 2009, he won fourth prize at the Hamamatsu Competition in Japan and was also a finalist at the Clara Haskil Competition in Switzerland. The following year, he won fifth prize at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw. In 2011, he received the Revelation of the Year award at the Victoires de la musique classique.
