Presented by Le New Morning Born from the vibrant Chicago scene, versatile instrumentalist, composer, activist and educator Isaiah Collier has made a name for himself primarily as a saxophonist, whether with his own projects – as a member of Angel Bat Dawid & Tha Brotherhood or alongside artists like Chance The Rapper, Waddada Leo Smith III, Junius Paul and many others.

Cosmic Transitions, his third and latest album with the band The Chosen Few, was released in 2021, receiving rave reviews. Parallel Universe, his latest opus, represents a new chapter in Collier's musical journey.

Embracing the risk and vulnerability inherent to the live process, Collier and his band tapped into the frequencies of improvisation that triggered so many timeless jazz recordings.

"Recording directly to disc gave me a really lucky chance to discover what our musical predecessors were facing nearly a hundred years ago," he explains.
