Overview
Jack de Marseille A pioneer of electronic music, Jack De Marseille has contributed to the emergence of the French electronic scene as a DJ, producer and head of the Wicked Music label.
Since the late 1980s, he has performed in legendary clubs and revered festivals such as Astropolis, Nuits Sonores, Awakenings, Timewarp, Sonar, Love Parade (Berlin) and Yinyang (Great Wall of China).
He co-organised 'Atomix', the very first incandescent rave parties in Marseille (1992), and even became the first DJ to take part in the tour for Daft Punk's debut album.
Open to diverse fields, he has provided the soundtrack for fashion shows dedicated to Paco Rabanne, Castelbajac and Jean-Paul Gaultier, and features on the soundtrack of the stage adaptation of Trainspotting.
The success of his sets led to him being voted best French DJ by electronic music and culture magazines Coda and Trax. In the 2000s, he entered the Top 100 International DJs ranking by Max magazine. In 2015, he created the Jack in the Box festival.
