AKRAV by frankielanuit #2

AKRAV Immersed from an early age in diverse musical worlds alongside a rock-enthusiast father and an opera-singer godmother, Akrav has forged an eclectic culture ranging from classical to electronic music, via pop, wave, post-punk, hip-hop and rap.

It was just five years ago that he turned to the decks to share his culture and influences with us.

This broadened and singular universe shines through in every one of his DJ sets, plunging the dancefloor into an atmosphere that is both hypnotic and punchy, blending wave sounds with energetic, heavy basslines.

His selections thus offer a true panorama stretching from downtempo rhythms to the borders of techno, via dark disco and indie dance, compelling the audience to let go and physically experience a resolutely new and profound music.

For all these reasons, he was naturally led to play at Bricks and Fabulous Festival, sharing the bill with artists such as Damon Jee, Adriatique, Popof, Dixon, Kolsch, Ame and Jennifer Cardini.

He has also crossed the Atlantic Ocean to make the famous Bar Americas dance, a benchmark South American club. Akrav is also a resident for the Mexican label Āsthetics and the famous Berlin label Nein Records.

A thunderous start, therefore, for this young artist brimming with talent and a communicative good humour that mirrors his music.
