In a few words

Three instrumentalists, whose careers are already marked by significant accolades, come together this evening to celebrate some of the most beautiful pages in solo (Bach), duo (Beethoven and Brahms) and finally trio (Zemlinsky) formats. Belgian Julien Libeer (the eldest of the three, born in 1987) was a student of Maria João Pires, whose advice strongly influenced his musical development. An accomplished chamber musician, he performs regularly throughout Europe, as seen in his complete sonatas for violin and piano with Lorenzo Gatto at the Auditorium du Louvre. Thirty-year-old Aurélien Pascal was named instrumental soloist revelation at the Victoires de la Musique in 2023. Equally at home as a concert soloist and chamber musician, he plays an Adolphe Gand cello from 1850, which he inherited from his mother. Finally, Tuscan Kevin Spagnolo was, at 22, the youngest First Prize winner of the Geneva Competition in 2018. Passionate about transmission and pedagogy, he excels equally in concert.
