Because music is discovered from the earliest age, La Seine Musicale invites young and old music lovers to share a moment out of time. Le Classique du Dimanche is the meeting point for curious families: educational concerts, cine-concerts, tales and stories in music… At the Auditorium of La Seine Musicale, classical music takes a thousand forms and is experienced at children's eye level. When the animals come to life through the instruments of the orchestra, it is an invitation to journey and daydreaming at children's eye level, but also to have fun as a family amid a cheerful bestiary!

Ten instrumentalists, a storyteller and an illustrator introduce the youngest listeners to music through Camille Saint-Saëns' sumptuous score, The Carnival of the Animals, which blends mischief and emotion and sets fairytale wonder in dialogue with comedy. For the occasion, Alex Vizorek has written playful alexandrines to accompany the characters of this funny zoological adventure. One by one, each of them comes alive before your eyes thanks to the virtual reality drawings of illustrator Karo Pauwels, who conjures up elephants, fish and landscapes!

Like Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, this animal pastiche is an ideal opportunity to help children discover and come to love classical music. A total artistic experience to discover this masterpiece as a family, and to learn to recognise musical instruments while having fun and marvelling!
