Overview
Embodying Chicago's vibrant music culture, LowDown Brass Band is a unique brass ensemble, blending urban energy, engaged hip-hop, jazz, reggae and soul.
Accustomed to intensive touring, the band has performed on venues as iconic as Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Summer Camp Music Festival, Salmonfest, Montreal International Jazz Festival, as well as on a European and British tour in 2025 alongside Australian band The Cat Empire.
Over the past four years, LowDown Brass Band has remained particularly active with the release of three albums — The Reel Sessions, LowDown Nights and Citizens of the World — which push even further the boundaries of its musical universe.
Driven by its talent and atypical style, LowDown Brass Band continues on its path defying conventions and carving its own way in an ever-evolving music landscape.
